Yes you guessed right, it's Rihanna overload again. She is still popping up all over the place on her Good Girl Gone Bad promo blitz and some of her hard work (well the sexy new image part) is finally paying off. She was named 2007 Venus Breeze "Celebrity Legs Of A Goddess" ( it was won by Mariah Carey last year) in New York City yesterday. I have to say from the pics below she is a well deserved recipient of this award. The Good Girl has really Gone Bad.

Of course it doesn't end there - she also attended the Celebration of The Cartier Charity Love Bracelet at the The Cartier Mansion in New York City on Thursday (before heading off to Kanye's 30th birthday bash).

Paris Hilton Is Sent Back To Jail!

Paris Hilton was dragged back to jail kicking and screaming today. So understandably this whole Paris Hilton jail fiasco has been kicking up a storm in the media all day. Basically she's gone from being a prisoner in a cell for 3 days, to being a prisoner in her own home, to being sent back to prison again.

LMAO! Yes Paris was ordered back to court today by Judge Sauer to explain why she was released yesterday for "medical reasons" after only serving five days (not full days) of her 23-day sentence at Lynwood Correctional Facility.

She was taken from her house to court this morning in handcuffs only to be told by Judge Sauer that she has to return to jail to serve her 45-day sentence.

Well as you know I have no sympathy for Paris at all but this is what you get when you think you are above the law. Paris was not content to serve her 23 days sentence, which was reduced from 45 days she had to invent some "medical reason" to get an early release from the slammer. We all know there was not a damn thing wrong with her, her lawyers just used this little 'technicality' to get her to serve the rest of her sentence at home (with an electronic tag) but it was not to be Judge Sauer was having none of it so he sent her ass back where she belongs - in jail.

She screamed: "It's not fair," as she was lead away by the sheriff's deputies back to Lynwood. LOL! Of course it is fair Paris, this proves that there is in fact some justice left in the world!

2007 Fresh Air Fund

Mariah Carey and Alicia Keys attended the 2007 Fresh Air Fund’s Salute to American Heroes that was held at Tavern on the Green in New York City earlier today. Carey served as a Honorary Chair, while Alicia was one of three honorees at the event.


Mariah CareyI haven't seen Mimi in awhile and she is glowing in this pic. She still dresses like a teenager but you have to admit this is a step up from most of her recent efforts.

In other Mariah news, she is set to make a special guest appearance in the upcoming video for the latest Bone Thugs -N- Harmony track Lil L.O.V.E on which she is featured. The video will be directed by Chris Robinson who last directed Mariah in the video for the smash hit I Know What You Want with Busta Rhymes.

I know I said that Good Girl Gone Bad would be a dead cert for the number one spot on the Billboard album charts next week but according to reports the album will only sell a disappointing 160,000-180,000. It's battling with T-Pain's new album for the number 2 spot instead. I guess there is so much promotion you can do and with Umbrella doing big business worldwide it seemed like a natural progression at the time. Oh well, I suppose Rihanna and Def Jam can console themselves that she is up against Paul McCartney for the top spot because there is really no competing with a legend like McCartney.
